Our family were in the Carp Lake area when it was founded- Samuel Ells and Jacob Ells his brother (our ancestor) and from the Bear Creek township area Charles, Gus and Theodore Ells. They were there in the 1870's and 1880's. They were all from Indiana before that and went to North Dakota after, except Charles who died in 1894.

Weldon, Firnley Hugh married Dorothy Verle Phillips in the early 1920's. My father, George Harold Weldon was born 10/31/1927 in Levering, MI. I am also looking for information on an Archie Wolcott who was my grandmother's first husband. Also, the surnames of Phillips, Wheaton, Spierling, Frisbie, Athearn, St.Louis, Reeves, and Burns.
